The Cruiser Start is for those participants who believe they may take more than 3 hrs to cover the half marathon course (and so might miss the Awards Ceremony at 11am). You do not need to register for the cruiser start however you should be aware that some aid stations may not be setup in time for you. Those who start on the Cruiser Start are not eligible for merit awards (including the Competitive Walk). The minimum finish time for cruisers is 2 hours 45 minutes. Cruisers who register a finish time less than that will have their official time rounded up to 2hrs 45 mins.
